New Delhi: Atishi Marlena Set to Become Delhi’s New Chief Minister

In a significant decision made during the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) legislative party meeting, Atishi Marlena has been chosen as the new Chief Minister of Delhi. Current Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal is expected to resign from his position this evening.

The meeting took place at Kejriwal’s residence, where the party leaders deliberated on the successor. Atishi was the frontrunner for the role, while Kejriwal’s wife, Sunita Kejriwal, declined the offer to take on the chief ministerial role. Other potential candidates included Saurabh Bhardwaj and Kailash Gehlot. Following this announcement, an assembly session is scheduled for September 26 and 27.

Key leaders, including Arvind Kejriwal, were present during the legislative meeting, where they discussed and finalized the new Chief Minister’s name, which was revealed at noon.

ਦਿੱਲੀ ਦੇ ਮੁੱਖ ਮੰਤਰੀ ਅਰਵਿੰਦ ਕੇਜਰੀਵਾਲ ਦੇ ਘਰ ਵਿਧਾਇਕ ਦਲ ਦੀ ਬੈਠਕ ਹੋਈ। ਇਸ ਮੀਟਿੰਗ ਤੋਂ ਬਾਅਦ ਨਵੇਂ ਮੁੱਖ ਮੰਤਰੀ ਦਾ ਐਲਾਨ ਕੀਤਾ ਗਿਆ।

 ਮੁੱਖ ਮੰਤਰੀ ਬਣਨ ਦੀ ਦੌੜ ਵਿੱਚ ਆਤਿਸ਼ੀ ਦਾ ਨਾਂ ਸਭ ਤੋਂ ਉੱਪਰ ਸੀ। ਸੌਰਭ ਭਾਰਦਵਾਜ ਅਨੁਸਾਰ ਅਰਵਿੰਦ ਕੇਜਰੀਵਾਲ ਦੀ ਪਤਨੀ ਸੁਨੀਤਾ ਕੇਜਰੀਵਾਲ ਨੇ ਮੁੱਖ ਮੰਤਰੀ ਦਾ ਅਹੁਦਾ ਲੈਣ ਤੋਂ ਇਨਕਾਰ ਕਰ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਹੈ। ਇਸ ਤੋਂ ਇਲਾਵਾ ਦਿੱਲੀ ਦੇ ਮੁੱਖ ਮੰਤਰੀ ਦਾ ਫੈਸਲਾ ਹੋਣ ਤੋਂ ਬਾਅਦ 26 ਅਤੇ 27 ਸਤੰਬਰ ਨੂੰ ਵਿਧਾਨ ਸਭਾ ਸੈਸ਼ਨ ਵੀ ਬੁਲਾਇਆ ਜਾਵੇਗਾ। ਤੁਹਾਨੂੰ ਦੱਸ ਦੇਈਏ ਕਿ ਆਤਿਸ਼ੀ ਤੋਂ ਇਲਾਵਾ ਸੌਰਭ ਭਾਰਦਵਾਜ ਅਤੇ ਕੈਲਾਸ਼ ਗਹਿਲੋਤ ਦਾ ਨਾਂ ਵੀ ਸਾਹਮਣੇ ਆਇਆ ਸੀ।

ਆਮ ਆਦਮੀ ਪਾਰਟੀ ਦੇ ਵਿਧਾਇਕ ਦਲ ਦੀ ਮੀਟਿੰਗ ‘ਚ ਮੁੱਖ ਮੰਤਰੀ ਅਰਵਿੰਦ ਕੇਜਰੀਵਾਲ ਸਮੇਤ ਕਈ ਵੱਡੇ ਨੇਤਾ ਮੌਜੂਦ ਰਹੇ। ਦਿੱਲੀ ਦੇ ਨਵੇਂ ਮੁੱਖ ਮੰਤਰੀ ਦੇ ਨਾਂ ‘ਤੇ ਵਿਧਾਇਕ ਦਲ ਦੀ ਬੈਠਕ ‘ਚ ਚਰਚਾ ਹੋਈ। ਮੀਟਿੰਗ ਤੋਂ ਬਾਅਦ ਦੁਪਹਿਰ 12 ਵਜੇ ਨਵੇਂ ਮੁੱਖ ਮੰਤਰੀ ਦੇ ਨਾਂ ਦਾ ਐਲਾਨ ਕੀਤਾ ਗਿਆ।
