Officers of Kapurthala Police have contributed from their salaries for providing compensation to the vegetable vendor- SSP Kanwardeep Kaur

Phagwara/ Kapurthala: Today a video that was in circulation on various social media platforms came to the notice of SSP Kapurthala Mrs Kanwardeep kaur IPS.

In this video SHO City Phagwara Navdeep Singh No. 75/JR was seen
damaging the property of a street side vegetable vendor.

Acting swiftly , SSP Kapurthala said that As a member of a disciplined force, such behavior is against service rules and is unwarranted.

She also said that Under the supervision of DGP Punjab, Punjab Police has been working on the forefront of the war against Covid- 19 for over a year now and has served the people of Punjab with dedication. During this, we have also lost many officers to Covid-19.

She said that Behavior of officers as above brings bad name to the entireforce.

Taking strict action against the officer he has been immediately
placed under suspension. A departmental enquiry has been initiated against him.
