TEAM COMPRISING ASSISTANT COMMISSIONER, SECRETARY RTA AND DSP CITY TAKEN COMPUTER HARDWARE FROM SHOPS OUTSIDE DRIVING TRACK IN POSSESSION

DIRECTS TO HAND OVER LICENCE AND RCs LYING IN RTA OFFICE TO PERSONS CONCERNED ON FAST TRACK

HOSHIARPUR (ADESH PARMINDER SINGH ) :  On the directives of Deputy Commissioner Apneet Riyait, a team of three-officers today carried out a surprise check in local RTA office and Automative Driving Track. The team also taken computer hardware from the shops located outside the driving track in its possession for further inspection.

The team led by Assistant Commissioner Kirpalveer Singh was comprising of RTA Pardeep Singh Dhillon and DSP City Jagdish Kumar Attri took stock of functioning of RTA office in District Administrative Complex in the morning. The team found 1400 Driving Licence  and 49 RCs lying in the office and directions were given on the spot to handover these documents to the persons concerned expeditiously.

Meanwhile, the team went to Automative Driving Track, where an employee Gobind Pal was found absent. The Assistant Commissioner inspected the work of H.S. R.P. number plates, licences and services related to driving tests. The mobile phones of all employees at driving track were taken and handed over to police to ascertain that if any employee is hand in glove with private persons to offer services. 

After checking at track, the team also seized the computer hardware from shops outside the track. The Assistant Commissioner told that this action was taken on the directives of Deputy Commissioner so that the lapses, if any, in the functioning of RTA office could be sorted out to make the delivery of services further prompt and transparent. He said that the directions had also been issued to clear the pendency of work as early as possible. It was also found, said the Assistant Commissioner, that the shop owners offering services to people had no receipt book as well as copy of bills.
