AAP Delegation to Meet Delhi LG Over Alleged Scams in Capital

Party President Leads MLAs to Raj Niwas for Urgent Talks on Multiple Irregularities

New Delhi, August 26, 2026 – Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) Delhi unit president Saurabh Bharadwaj is scheduled to meet Lieutenant Governor TS Sandhu on Wednesday, accompanied by five party MLAs, to raise concerns over several alleged scams affecting the national capital.

In a social media post, Bharadwaj announced the delegation’s visit, stating, “LG Saab @LtGovDelhi, we are coming to meet you today at 2 pm. I will be joined with 5 AAP MLAs. Hope you will meet the opposition regarding multiple scams in Delhi.”

The opposition leader had previously sought an appointment with the LG to discuss what he termed as the “health scam, bicycle scam, rice scam,” along with issues concerning the SS Mota Singh School Trust file.

BJP Government Accused of Withholding Court-Ordered Documents

In a formal letter to the LG, Bharadwaj wrote on behalf of AAP MLAs and Delhi citizens, requesting an urgent meeting to address “four serious matters currently impacting the National Capital Territory of Delhi.” He noted that MLA Sanjeev Jha had earlier requested an appointment but received no response from Raj Niwas.

The AAP president also criticised the Rekha Gupta-led BJP government, alleging failure to produce the SS Mota Singh School Trust file despite a Delhi High Court order directing the Revenue Department to provide it.

Bharadwaj questioned whether the file contains names of senior BJP leaders’ associates attempting to take control of the trust, and whether political figures should be permitted to take over a minority Sikh institution.

In a video statement, Bharadwaj remarked, “In stories, we used to see that a king’s life was hidden inside a parrot. Today, it appears that the lives of several senior BJP leaders are trapped in the file of the SS Mota Singh School Trust. The matter is becoming so complicated that even the Chief Minister’s own Revenue Department and the Divisional Commissioner may now face the consequences.”
