Gas tanker catches fire in Mandiala, MP Dr. Raj expressed sorrow

Met the injured and consoled the victims’ families

Hoshiarpur, (CDT NEWS-) –Last night, a tragic incident of a gas tanker catching fire in village Mandiala left the entire area in mourning. In this accident, 2 people lost their lives while 23 others were injured. Out of the injured, 4 are reported to be in critical condition. As soon as the information was received, the administration, fire brigade, and police reached the spot and started the relief operations. The injured were immediately shifted to Civil Hospital and Livasa Hospital, Hoshiarpur. Today, Member of Parliament from Hoshiarpur, Dr. Raj Kumar Chabbewal, also visited both hospitals to inquire about the condition of the injured.

Dr Raj also visited the accident site in Mandiala, met with the victim families and local residents, shared their grief, and consoled them. He assured them that the government would provide full support and appropriate compensation. Dr. Raj informed the gathering that the Punjab government would provide financial assistance of ₹2 lakh each to the families of those who lost their lives in the accident, and free treatment would be provided to all the injured. He also directed the administrative officials to ensure that every possible help is provided to the victim families at the earliest.

Expressing deep sympathy with the bereaved families, he said, “I pray to Waheguru for the speedy recovery of the injured, and may God give strength to the families who have lost their loved ones. May the departed souls rest in peace.” This unfortunate accident has left the entire area grief-stricken. Along with the villagers, political and social organizations have also expressed condolences for the deceased and are praying for the speedy recovery of the injured.
