₹4.52 Crore Development Works to Strengthen Kot Fatuhi’s Infrastructure – MLA Dr. Ishank Kumar

New dispensary, roads, community facilities and civic amenities among major works

Chabbewal/ Hoshiarpur (CDT NEWS): Kot Fatuhi is witnessing significant development in basic infrastructure and public facilities, with development works worth around ₹4.52 crore either completed, in progress or sanctioned for the village. Chabbewal MLA Dr. Ishank Kumar recently visited Kot Fatuhi, interacted with people and laid the foundation stone of a new dispensary, while taking stock of various development works being carried out in the village.

Highlighting the road infrastructure works, Dr. Ishank Kumar said that several important road projects have already been completed, providing better connectivity to Kot Fatuhi and surrounding villages. These include the 5.18-kilometre Kot Fatuhi–Mananhana–Chak Musa Datta Chela road from the Mahilpur–Phagwara Road to Mananhana Gurdwara up to the bridge, completed at a cost of ₹86.77 lakh; the 2.56-kilometre Kot Fatuhi–Mananhana Road completed at a cost of ₹55.01 lakh; the 0.62-kilometre Kot Fatuhi Garhshankar–Jhaj road completed at a cost of ₹20.48 lakh; and the 1.60-kilometre Bhagatupur–Kot Fatuhi road completed at a cost of ₹33.63 lakh.

He further informed that work on the 4.25-kilometre Kot Fatuhi–Banga via Behbalpur up to the MC limit is currently in progress, with an estimated cost of ₹1.44 crore. The Kot Fatuhi–Panchta to Ajnoha road, measuring 0.91 kilometres and sanctioned at a cost of ₹81.53 lakh and the 0.76-kilometre Kot Fatuhi Gurdwara–Harijan Basti road, costing ₹13.11 lakh, are also sanctioned and the work will start soon on these.

Apart from road connectivity, several other works have also been undertaken to improve civic amenities in the village. Street and drain works worth ₹2 lakh have been completed, while sewage-related work has been sanctioned at a cost of ₹4.67 lakh. A grant of ₹5 lakh has been provided for the roof of the Dharamshala near Madho. In addition, ₹5 lakh has been allocated for the construction of a Community Hall, while ₹70,000 has been provided for the installation of solar street lights in the village.

Dr. Ishank Kumar said that the new dispensary will further strengthen healthcare facilities for residents of Kot Fatuhi and surrounding areas, providing people with easier access to basic healthcare services closer to home.

Addressing the gathering, Dr. Ishank Kumar said that the focus is on ensuring balanced development of villages by strengthening roads, drainage, sanitation, healthcare and other essential facilities. He said that genuine development demands of the people are being taken up on priority and efforts are being made to ensure that the benefits of development reach every section of the constituency.
