BIG NEWS : HOSHIARPUR: Disturbed over constant eve-teasing, a Class XII teenaged girl student commits suicide at village Bhambotad

Disturbed over constant eve-teasing, a Class XII teenaged girl student committed suicide at village Bhambotar, about 65 Kms from here today.
According to SHO of Talwara Police Station Sub Inspector Ajmer Singh, abatement to suicide case under sections 306 and 34 of the IPC had been registered against two youths Rahul, son of Dilbag Singh and Sahil, son of Vijay Kumar, both of village Bhambotar in this connection.
The victim 17-year-old girl’s father stated that she was studying in a Senior Secondary School, Bhambotar. Both aforesaid accused used to eve-tease her. The victim girl was so depressed due to her regular eve-teasing that she consumed some poisonous substance today. She was admitted in Civil Hospital, Mukerian where she breathed her last.
Her body had been shifted from Civil Hospital, Mukerian to the mortuary of BBMB Hospital, Talwara.
Raids were being conducted to nab the accused, said Ajmer Singh.
