UPATED : Kisan Majdoor Sanjhi Sangarh Committee (KMSSC) in its meeting, appreciated the district police, Hohiarpur, for its ongoing campaign against anti-social elements

The Kisan Majdoor Sanjhi Sangarh Committee (KMSSC) in its meeting held under the presidentship of Ex-MC of Garhdiwala Gurdip Singh appreciated the district police, Hohiarpur, for its ongoing campaign against anti-social elements.
It was unanimously decided to honour those policemen who recently arrested Sukhjit Singh, alias Sukha, of Kurala and Gurjit Singh of Moonak in FIR No. 5 of January 5, 2020, and allegedly recovered Indian and foregin made weapons from them and thwarted their plan to kill Harbhajan Singh Dhat of Ambala Jattan and some others. Both the accused allegedly confessed in the police custody that Jang Bahadur, son of Sampooran Singh of Khurdan, presently residing in Canada had given them a Supari to eliminate Harbhajan Singh Dhat and his some other enemies.

Harbhajan Singh Dhat’s wife is niece of Shaheed-e-Azam Bhagat Singh.
The KMSSC had audio recordings and other evidences regarding alleged conspiracies to murder Harbhajan Singh Dhat, Iqbal Singh Kokla, Tirath Singh Data and some other office bearers of KMSSC, which had already been provided to the police so that action could be taken against anti-social elements.
These anti-social elements under the political patronage had created terror prior to 2013-14 and with the help of KMSSC and people of the area police restored peace in the area.
The KMSSC said that only a single person was allegedly disturbing peace in the Garhdiwala area.
The KMSSC demanded from Punjab government especially from the police to bring back the accused from Canada and to initiate action against the accuse according to the law.
They further demanded from SSP, Hoshiarpur, to honour those policemen by promoting or givening special incriment to them who arrested those persons who took Supari to kill Harbhajan Singh Dhat so that their morale can be boosted.
It was further demadned from the manging committee of a college at Garhdiwala to terminate the services of Sukhjit Singh from their college. On the condition of anonymity one of the professor of the college disclosed that Sukhjit Singh was being patronized by one Jathedar of the area. Whenever someone made a complaint against him, he was advised to remain mum.
They said that if managing committee remained fail in terminating the services of the accused then it would be persumed that the member of the committee was involved in the enitre episode.
