Capt Amarinder expresses grief over Sardar Badal’s death

CHANDIGARH, April 25: Senior Bharatiya Janata Party leader and former Punjab Chief Minister Capt Amarinder Singh today expressed profound grief over the sad demise of Sardar Parkash Singh Badal, a veteran political stalwart and five-time Chief Minister of Punjab.
In his condolence message to his son and Shiromani Akali Dal-Badal president, Sukhbir Singh Badal, Capt Amarinder said he shared the family’s grief over this irreparable loss. He said it was not only a loss to the family, but to the entire state and the country as a whole.
Capt Amarinder said Sardar Badal was a towering leader who commanded respect across the states and across the party lines. His absence will be felt for a long time and the void created will be difficult to be filled.

ਚੰਡੀਗੜ੍ਹ, 25 ਅਪ੍ਰੈਲ: ਭਾਰਤੀ ਜਨਤਾ ਪਾਰਟੀ ਦੇ ਸੀਨੀਅਰ ਆਗੂ ਅਤੇ ਪੰਜਾਬ ਦੇ ਸਾਬਕਾ ਮੁੱਖ ਮੰਤਰੀ ਕੈਪਟਨ ਅਮਰਿੰਦਰ ਸਿੰਘ ਨੇ ਅੱਜ ਉੱਘੇ ਸਿਆਸੀ ਆਗੂ ਅਤੇ ਪੰਜਾਬ ਦੇ ਪੰਜ ਵਾਰ ਮੁੱਖ ਮੰਤਰੀ ਰਹਿ ਚੁੱਕੇ ਸਰਦਾਰ ਪਰਕਾਸ਼ ਸਿੰਘ ਬਾਦਲ ਦੇ ਦੇਹਾਂਤ ’ਤੇ ਡੂੰਘੇ ਦੁੱਖ ਦਾ ਪ੍ਰਗਟਾਵਾ ਕੀਤਾ ਹੈ।

ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਅਤੇ ਸ਼੍ਰੋਮਣੀ ਅਕਾਲੀ ਦਲ ਬਾਦਲ ਦੇ ਪ੍ਰਧਾਨ ਸੁਖਬੀਰ ਸਿੰਘ ਬਾਦਲ ਨੂੰ ਆਪਣੇ ਸ਼ੋਕ ਸੰਦੇਸ਼ ਵਿੱਚ ਕੈਪਟਨ ਅਮਰਿੰਦਰ ਸਿੰਘ ਨੇ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਉਹ ਇਸ ਨਾ ਪੂਰਿਆ ਜਾ ਸਕਣ ਵਾਲੇ ਘਾਟੇ ‘ਤੇ ਪਰਿਵਾਰ ਨਾਲ ਦੁੱਖ ਸਾਂਝਾ ਕਰਦੇ ਹਨ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਇਹ ਨਾ ਸਿਰਫ਼ ਪਰਿਵਾਰ ਲਈ ਸਗੋਂ ਪੂਰੇ ਸੂਬੇ ਅਤੇ ਸਮੁੱਚੇ ਦੇਸ਼ ਲਈ ਘਾਟਾ ਹੈ।

ਕੈਪਟਨ ਅਮਰਿੰਦਰ ਸਿੰਘ ਨੇ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਸਰਦਾਰ ਬਾਦਲ ਇੱਕ ਮਹਾਨ ਨੇਤਾ ਸਨ ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦਾ ਸਾਰੇ ਰਾਜਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਪਾਰਟੀ ਲਾਈਨਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਸਤਿਕਾਰ ਸੀ। ਉਸ ਦੀ ਅਣਹੋਂਦ ਲੰਬੇ ਸਮੇਂ ਤੱਕ ਮਹਿਸੂਸ ਕੀਤੀ ਜਾਵੇਗੀ ਅਤੇ ਪੈਦਾ ਹੋਈ ਖਾਲੀ ਥਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਭਰਨਾ ਮੁਸ਼ਕਲ ਹੋਵੇਗਾ।
