ਵਿਜੀਲੈਂਸ ਬਿਊਰੋ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਸਾਲ 2019 ਦੇ ਕਤਲ ਕੇਸ ’ਚ 20 ਲੱਖ ਰੁਪਏ ਦੀ ਰਿਸ਼ਵਤ ਲੈਣ ਦੇ ਦੋਸ਼ ਵਿੱਚ ਡੀ.ਐਸ.ਪੀ. ਗ੍ਰਿਫਤਾਰ

ਭ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਟਾਚਾਰ ਵਿਰੁੱਧ ਚੱਲ ਰਹੀ ਮੁਹਿੰਮ ਦੌਰਾਨ ਪੰਜਾਬ ਵਿਜੀਲੈਂਸ ਬਿਊਰੋ ਨੇ ਬੁੱਧਵਾਰ ਨੂੰ ਸਾਲ 2019 ਵਿੱਚ  ਸੇਵਾਦਾਰ ਸੰਤ ਦਿਆਲ ਦਾਸ ਦੇ ਕਤਲ ਕੇਸ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਕਲੀਨ ਚਿੱਟ ਹਾਸਲ ਕਰ ਚੁੱਕੇ ਵਿਅਕਤੀ ਨੂੰ ਮੁੜ ਨਾਮਜ਼ਦ ਕਰਨ ਬਦਲੇ 20 ਲੱਖ ਰੁਪਏ ਦੀ ਰਿਸ਼ਵਤ ਲੈਣ ਦੇ ਦੋਸ਼ ਹੇਠ ਡਿਪਟੀ ਸੁਪਰਡੈਂਟ ਆਫ ਪੁਲਿਸ (ਡੀ.ਐਸ.ਪੀ.) ਸੁਸ਼ੀਲ ਕੁਮਾਰ ਨੂੰ  ਗ੍ਰਿਫਤਾਰ ਕੀਤਾ।  ਜ਼ਿਕਰਯੋਗ ਹੈ ਕਿ 7 ਨਵੰਬਰ, 2019 ਨੂੰ ਕੋਟਕਪੂਰਾ ਦੇ ਪਿੰਡ ਕੋਟਸੁਖੀਆ ਸਥਿਤ ਡੇਰਾ ਬਾਬਾ ਹਰਕਾ ਦਾਸ ਵਿਖੇ ਦੋ ਅਣਪਛਾਤੇ ਵਿਅਕਤੀਆਂ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਸੰਤ ਦਿਆਲ ਦਾਸ ਦੀ ਗੋਲੀ ਮਾਰ ਕੇ ਹੱਤਿਆ ਕਰ ਦਿੱਤੀ ਗਈ ਸੀ।


ਇਸ ਤੋਂ ਬਾਅਦ ਸੰਤ ਬਾਬਾ ਹਰੀਦਾਸ ਜੀ ਦੇ ਚੇਲੇ ਸੰਤ ਗਗਨ ਦਾਸ ਦੀ ਸ਼ਿਕਾਇਤ ’ਤੇ ਦੋ ਅਣਪਛਾਤੇ ਵਿਅਕਤੀਆਂ ਅਤੇ ਸੰਤ ਜਰਨੈਲ ਦਾਸ ਕਪੂਰੇ ਵਾਲਿਆਂ ਖਿਲਾਫ ਥਾਣਾ ਸਦਰ ਕੋਟਕਪੂਰਾ ਵਿਖੇ ਕਤਲ ਕੇਸ ਦਰਜ ਕੀਤਾ ਗਿਆ ਸੀ। ਇਸ ਉਪਰੰਤ ਡੀ.ਐਸ.ਪੀ. ਹੈੱਡਕੁਆਰਟਰ ਮੋਗਾ ਰਵਿੰਦਰ ਸਿੰਘ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਕੇਸ ਵਿੱਚ ਨਾਮਜ਼ਦ ਸੰਤ ਜਰਨੈਲ ਦਾਸ ਨੂੰ ਕਲੀਨ ਚਿੱਟ ਦੇ ਦਿੱਤੀ ਗਈ ਸੀ।


ਇਸ ਸਬੰਧੀ ਜਾਣਕਾਰੀ ਦਿੰਦਿਆਂ ਵਿਜੀਲੈਂਸ ਬਿਊਰੋ ਦੇ  ਬੁਲਾਰੇ ਨੇ ਦੱਸਿਆ ਕਿ ਪੰਜਾਬ ਅਤੇ ਹਰਿਆਣਾ ਹਾਈ ਕੋਰਟ ਦੇ ਨਿਰਦੇਸ਼ਾਂ ’ਤੇ ਆਈ.ਜੀ.ਪੀ. ਫਰੀਦਕੋਟ ਰੇਂਜ ਪਰਦੀਪ ਕੁਮਾਰ ਯਾਦਵ ਨੇ ਐਸ.ਪੀ. (ਡੀ) ਫਰੀਦਕੋਟ ਗਗਨੇਸ਼ ਕੁਮਾਰ ਦੀ ਅਗਵਾਈ ਵਿੱਚ ਇੱਕ ਵਿਸ਼ੇਸ਼ ਜਾਂਚ ਟੀਮ (ਐਸ.ਆਈ.ਟੀ.) ਦਾ ਗਠਨ ਕੀਤਾ । ਇਸ ਐਸ.ਆਈ.ਟੀ. ਵਿੱਚ ਡੀ.ਐਸ.ਪੀ. ਫਰੀਦਕੋਟ ਸੁਸ਼ੀਲ ਕੁਮਾਰ ਸਮੇਤ ਡੀ.ਐਸ.ਪੀ ਬਾਘਾਪੁਰਾਣਾ ਜਸਜੋਤ ਸਿੰਘ ਅਤੇ ਐਸ.ਆਈ ਖੇਮ ਚੰਦ ਟੀਮ ਮੈਂਬਰਾਂ ਵਜੋਂ ਸ਼ਾਮਲ ਸਨ।


ਬੁਲਾਰੇ ਨੇ ਦੱਸਿਆ ਕਿ 8 ਨਵੰਬਰ, 2022 ਨੂੰ ਐਸ.ਪੀ. ਗਗਨੇਸ਼ ਕੁਮਾਰ ਅਤੇ ਡੀਐਸਪੀ ਸੁਸ਼ੀਲ ਕੁਮਾਰ ਨੇ ਸੰਤ ਜਰਨੈਲ ਦਾਸ ਕਪੂਰੇ ਵਾਲਿਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਮੁੜ ਨਾਮਜ਼ਦ ਕਰਨ ਅਤੇ ਗ੍ਰਿਫ਼ਤਾਰ ਕਰਨ ਅਤੇ ਇਸ ਮਾਮਲੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਸੰਤ ਗਗਨ ਦਾਸ ਦੀ ਮਦਦ ਕਰਨ ਲਈ ਉਸ ( ਗਗਨ ਦਾਸ ) ਤੋਂ 50 ਲੱਖ ਰੁਪਏ ਰਿਸ਼ਵਤ ਦੀ ਮੰਗ ਕੀਤੀ ।  ਇਹ ਸੌਦਾ 35 ਲੱਖ ਰੁਪਏ ਵਿੱਚ ਤੈਅ ਹੋਇਆ ਅਤੇ ਉਕਤ ਅਧਿਕਾਰੀ ਪਹਿਲਾਂ ਹੀ ਦੋ ਕਿਸ਼ਤਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ 20 ਲੱਖ ਰੁਪਏ ਲੈ ਚੁੱਕੇ ਸਨ ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ 9 ਨਵੰਬਰ, 2022 ਅਤੇ 22 ਨਵੰਬਰ, 2022 ਨੂੰ ਕ੍ਰਮਵਾਰ 15 ਲੱਖ ਅਤੇ 5 ਲੱਖ ਰੁਪਏ ਰਿਸ਼ਵਤ ਦੇ ਤੌਰ ਉੱਤੇ ਲਏ ਗਏ।


ਬੁਲਾਰੇ ਨੇ ਦੱਸਿਆ ਕਿ ਜਾਂਚ ਤੋਂ ਬਾਅਦ ਵਿਜੀਲੈਂਸ ਬਿਊਰੋ ਫਿਰੋਜ਼ਪੁਰ ਰੇਂਜ ਦੀਆਂ ਪੁਲਿਸ ਟੀਮਾਂ ਨੇ ਡੀਐਸਪੀ ਸੁਸ਼ੀਲ ਕੁਮਾਰ, ਜੋ ਇਸ ਸਮੇਂ 3 ਆਈ.ਆਰ.ਬੀ, ਲੁਧਿਆਣਾ ਵਿਖੇ ਤਾਇਨਾਤ ਹੈ, ਨੂੰ ਗ੍ਰਿਫਤਾਰ ਕੀਤਾ । ਦੋਸ਼ੀ ਡੀ.ਐਸ.ਪੀ. ਨੂੰ ਵੀਰਵਾਰ ਨੂੰ ਅਦਾਲਤ ਵਿੱਚ ਪੇਸ਼ ਕੀਤਾ ਜਾਵੇਗਾ।

VB NABS DSP FOR TAKING BRIBE OF RS 20 LAKH IN 2019 MURDER CASE

CHANDIGARH, July 19:
          Amidst the ongoing anti-corruption drive, Punjab Vigilance Bureau on Wednesday arrested a Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Sushil Kumar for taking a bribe of Rs 20 lakhs for re-nominating a person— who was given a clean chit, in a 2019 murder case of Mahant Dayal Das. The latter was shot dead by two unknown persons at Dera Baba Harka Das in village Kotsukhia in Kotkapura on November 7, 2019.
          Following this, the murder case was registered at Police Station Sadar Kotkapura against two unknown persons and Sant Jarnail Das Kapurewale and others on the complaint of Sant Gagan Das, who is a disciple of Sant Baba Haridas. Later, accused Sant Jarnail Das was given a clean chit by DSP HQs Moga Ravinder Singh.
          Divulging details, a official Spokesperson of the VB said that Punjab and Haryana High Court summoned IGP Faridkot Range Pardeep Kumar Yadav to file affidavit in this case. Thereafter, the IGP had constituted a special investigation team (SIT) headed by SP (D) Faridkot Gagnesh Kumar comprising members including DSP Faridkot Sushil Kumar, DSP Baghapurana Jasjot Singh and SI Khem Chand.
          He said that in November 2022, SP Gagnesh Kumar, DSP Sushil Kumar and SI Khem Chand had demanded Rs 50 lakh as a bribe from Sant Gagan Das to re-nominate and arrest Sant Jarnail Das Kapurewale and to help him (Gagan Das) in this case. The deal was settled at Rs 35 lakh and the said officers had already taken Rs 20 lakh in two instalments— Rs 15 lakh and Rs 5 lakh on November 9, 2022 and November 22, 2022.
          The spokesperson said that following the investigations, the Police teams from Vigilance Bureau Ferozepur Range have arrested DSP Sushil Kumar, who is presently posted at 3 IRB, Ludhiana. The accused DSP will be produced before the Court on Thursday, he added.
