To maintain peace and harmony in the society, Commissionerate police have beefed up security arrangements in the city in view of the emerging law and order situation.

Commissioner of Police Gurpreet Singh Bhullar on Friday reviewd the security arrangements measures during a meeting with all the station house officers (SHOs) and GOs of the city.

Divulging the details, the CP said that as many as 1400 police personnel have been deployed across the city to maintain law and order situation. “We have taken several preventive measures to ensure peace and law and order, and beefed up security,”he said.

Mr. Bhullar said that heavy Police deployment has been made to keep an eye on the situation adding that no one would be allowed to take law in their own hands.The CP assured the people that fool proof security cover has already been put in place in the city as all the officers of the Commissionerate Police have already been issued directions to beef up the security arrangements under their respective jurisdictions.

Meanwhile, the Commissionerate of Police reviewed progress made in the NDPS cases including attachment of properties of those indulged in this crime.
